It's Been a While.......but, we are still alive!!

Here's what we've been up to in a nutshell:
1. Reece celebrated his first birthday, January 6th. Today is his 18 month b-day. (yes, I am that behind in blogging)
2. Vanessa had to quit teaching school two weeks before school was out due to doctor's orders.
3. We welcomed the newest little Dondlinger to the family. Ryker William Dondlinger was born May 20th. He weighed a whopping 9 lbs. 5 oz. and had a 15.5 inch head. Yep, I pushed that baby out with no complications. No stitches needed.
4. Vanessa quit her job to be a SAHM with her two cute little boys.
5. Ryker developed colic 3 weeks into the world. It has been rough ever since. Poor kid. Mom and Dad are very tired.
6. We got a new Chicco double stroller and that was one of the best deliveries that the UPS man has ever brought. It gets Vanessa out of the house when she is about to pull her hair out.
7. Reece is talking more and more and he is ready to pump Ryker up so that they can play. He also likes to eat dog food, climb up on the kitchen counters, table, and just about everything else.
8. Raymond is working in a boring office. He is having fun being a dad to two boys. He wanted to have all of his kids before 30, which he might have accomplished at this rate. He turns 30 this December. Two kids..........enough for now, especially being 16.5 months apart. Yep, I think Vanessa takes the cake on that one, Skinners!!!

I'm always looking for new recipes and ways to pinch a penny. I came across this website while I was searching recipes for ham. We have a 19 pound ham that Raymond got from work that we cut up and froze and I am trying to get creative with it.

New Pictures!!

Finally! I updated the blog, and with some great pictures, I might say!! Merry Christmas to everyone! Enjoy the pictures! We took these pictures about a month ago in our neighborhood and it was freezing outside, about 35-40*. Reece was a trooper! Pictures by Novella Photography (a freelance photographer just getting her start in photography, thanks to Katie, she did a great job).

Pictures are coming soon! It seems like everytime I want to upload new pics, Raymond has the camera with him or I have the camera and no cord. Go figure!
Baby #2 will be a boy or a girl on December 29th........well, that's when we find out! I am saying a girl.
Reece is getting so big, he is walking now and has been for about a month! He just turned 11 months on the 6th of December. Not too much longer, and we'll be celebrating birthday #1. Where has the time gone???
I also got in another car accident on Tuesday. I was coming back from Wesley Hospital, delivering food to a good friend who's son is in the hospital, and was rear-ended..........for the 2nd time this year! The Trailblazer is a trooper though! The other car, not good, my car......looks like a champ!!

Where has time gone?

We have been so busy around here that we have forgotten to post pictures! We've been working on the house, Raymond is on crutches from a softball accident, and Vanessa has been busy with school and mom/wife duties.
We are really working our tails off as we are having to clear out another room for number two coming in spring of 2010. Yep, number 2!

Summer Adventures

Reece and I have been enjoying our summer together, although it's coming to an end very fast! I only have about a month left until I have to go back to school. This, by far, has been the fastest summer ever! Reece and I went to Table Rock Lake with my dad for a week and a half....he has a houseboat there. Reece loves to swim and kick his legs around in the water. He is now crawling and sitting up by himself. He is even figuring out how to pull up on things! Reece was 6 months old on July 6th! I can't believe how fast the time goes.

Shayla and Max make a visit

Max and Shayla stopped by for a visit on their way down to Oklahoma. Max loved chasing Daisy around and saying, "doggy, woof-woof!" It was so fun to see both of them and catch up on the latest. It's always fun to see your favorite friends, as it always seems like you catch right up after five minutes and it's as though you've seen them not so long ago. I guess that's what makes a good friend, no a great friend, no, a BEST friend!
