Finally, some pictures!

Car wreck!

First off, I know, I know, I know, post new pictures! I got it!

I had a flashback to about 9 years ago when Shayla and I got in our car accident during our good 'ole Goddard High School days. I was at 183rd and Kellogg on Wednesday, on my way to work, and SMACK! I got hit from behind. The kid (yes, high school student, and yes, from Goddard) hit me going about 50-60 mph. There is a stoplight at this intersection now, and you would think you would see that the light was red! HELLO!!!
So, my Trailblazer is all jacked up now. I saw it coming and even yelled out "crap, I'm getting jacked!" And a few other words that I shouldn't have said. We'll just leave those blank.

I am super sore, but thankful it was just me in the car and I didn't have Reece with me.

Now, I will get busy on posting pics! Later, that is. It's time to ice my neck and back.

Ohhhh, Baby got gas

So, Reece has been struggling with gas issues.....how, I don't know, considering his parents.

He can't get his gas worked up to burp and he just cries, and cries. I gave him Mylicon in hopes it will work. I don't know if it really has or not. He also spits up his food like he is putting out a fire. Don't bother even wearing nice clothes, they will get soaked. If you have words of wisdom, do tell!

At Reece's one month check-up here are his latest stats:



Head is 15 1/4 inches (50th percentile)

Length is 21 1/2 inches (50th percentile)

Weight is 10 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. (70th percentile......hungry little man!)

I love.........

........being a mom! It is so fun and great! Reece has started smiling a bit, especially when he wakes up, he looks at me with a happy face. Then it turns sad because he wants to eat, and he wants to eat NOW!! I am finally getting into a routine and getting time to go to the bathroom. I only have 2 full weeks left at home before I have to return to school. I am getting sad about leaving my baby, but hey, all they do right now is eat, sleep, and poop...right?

My MIL is going to be watching Reece everyday. I am happy that I don't have to just drop him off at a random babysitting place. I think I will cry though when I have to leave him. :(

Calming a fussy baby...........
seriously, I tried the methods from a book called "The Happiest Baby on the Block" and it works!
I was getting frustrated at trying to figure out how to calm Reece in a way that just didn't take as long. It calms him in minutes!
