I don't get it?!?!?

Okay, seriously, how do you do it? Get yourself ready, and on-time, without having to stop and pick up a cranky pants baby or stop to have to feed every 2 hours, but in Reece's case every hour (remember, this kid likes to eat).
I haven't fixed my hair, I have baby pee on my pants, and spit-up on my shirt! But I wouldn't change it for the world!! I love being a mom, but seriously, how do you get yourself ready....and especially how do you find time to even go to the bathroom?!?

First off, I know, more pictures! I will!
Raymond and I got our first taste of what having a little boy really means! I was changing Reece's diaper, when all of a sudden, BAM!......pee is shooting everywhere, including straight into Reece's eye. Good news is, he has good aim! Then while the pee is flying, I hear a toot and out comes the poop! Raymond and I are laughing so hard, that we almost have to clean our own mess up. It was one of those moments when I wish I had a video camera rolling to capture it.

How he made his grand entrance:

It all started with Taco Bell and Chinese food, washed down with a chocolate cream filled horn and a tall glass of milk. Monday, January 5, I had a craving for Taco Bell for lunch, so I ate that. For dinner, my mom brought out some Chinese food and helped us get a few more things ready for the baby. I woke up, Tuesday morning, around 1:15am with what I thought was a stomachache. I went and took a massive shyster thinking that would help. NOPE! So, I took another one a few minutes later, took some Rolaids, drank a couple glasses of water and tried to go back to sleep. All the meanwhile, Raymond was sleeping downstairs in the guestroom because he had a massive headache and hadn't been feeling well.

So, I couldn't go back to sleep and so I walked around for a bit, tried to watch t.v. and nothing seemed to help. Then I thought, hmmm.........maybe this is labor?!?! I tried to time my "pains" and they were coming every 7 or 8 minutes. I went and woke Raymond up, he immediately put the bags in the car and got ready. I kept trying to tell him and myself that these pains would go away. HA HA HA! Then, Raymond started timing them, they were 5 minutes apart and off to the hospital we went..............REMEMBER........this all started around 1:15 am, then we finally checked into the hospital around 4:00 am. They said I was at a 5! So, I got in, changed, and got my epidural (YES!!!) and an hour later I was at an 8 and it was time to go! So at 9:42 am with only an hour of pushing, Reece James was born!

I must be made to have babies.......he came fast, and it really wasn't that bad (yes, you're laughing by now). We came home Thursday afternoon and have been adjusting to life with an infant. I am tired!!!!!!!!!!

Ugggghhhh

Went to the doctor today, going back on Wednesday, will induce on Friday if nothing happens. Seriously, I told this baby he is done baking, he just doesn't get it. This is going to be the longest week of my life.

The ticker has started over?

I like how the baby ticker on my page has started over or recalculated itself or something. It now says I have 3 days left to go. WHATEVER! I am now 3 days past due because this kid just enjoys kicking the crap out of me. I have a feeling he is going to be a busy boy and not want to sit still for as much as he moves around.

Don't worry, I will let you all know when he arrives! I think I have made more phone calls and sent more text messages in these last couple of days to all the inquiring minds that want to know (along with the mommy and daddy) of when in the heck is this kid going to make his debut?

Hurry up and wait

Well, I am still waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I don't think this kid is going to make his appearance until January, but I suppose he could surprise us all. All my preggo pics are on my mom's computer, since she is the one that takes them. Raymond and I haven't been very good at capturing my belly moments. We did buy a new video camera, so we will be sure to post some pictures and video when the b-day comes. Until then, we will just continue to sit and wait.
I am expecting my birthday/Christmas gift today though (yeah, a few days late) from UPS. Raymond got me a Cricut machine. For those of you who don't know about the Cricut, it is a machine that cuts out letters, templates, and all sorts of designs for scrapbooking, cardmaking, and those cool wall sticker things. So, I guess I get some kind of delivery today!

Still pregnant.....

Well, with one week and one day left to go, I am still baking this kid in my belly. Went to the doctor this morning, and I am dilated a little over 1 and still about 70% effaced. Will this kid make his appearance in 2008 or will it be a 2009 baby? I need to take some pictures......I know, I know, I know. So as of now, we are just waiting, and the waiting is really not fun.

7 Random Things About Vanny

I got tagged by Shayla, so here are my random things......

1. I choked on a Gobstopper, on the school bus, and was saved by Shayla. I have NEVER had a Gobstopper since. I was in elementary school, but can't remember what grade.

2. I lied to a cop about my age, got caught when he asked for my ID. Whoops!

3. I can bend my thumb backwards so it lays on top of my hand.

4. I have a fear of dark basements.

5. I played a private detective at the Skinner house with Chelsie, Shayla, Odie and Darren. We chased a mysterious driver around the neighborhood.....that was so dumb.

6. I was mooned by my old neighbor that lived behind me.

7. I fell out of a moving car when I was 6 and ended up with a black/red/bloody eye. I was so excited to go play with my friend, I didn't wait for the car to stop.

That was hard.

Here is our dog, Daisy. She wants whatever we eat and then some! She is quite the begger and because she is cute, she usually gets a bite of whatever is on our plates! So, we found the pig costume to be quite fitting as her Halloween costume this year. (Yes, we dress our pet)
